If I wanted to lose 10 pounds of body fat by the end of the year…

IMG 5692

As of today, including today, there are 66 days left in the year. Nearly 10 weeks.

A lot can be accomplished during that time.

Through focused, dedicated effort, it’s not unlikely that a person could lose up to 10 pounds of body fat in that time.

No hacks (because really, there aren’t any). No unsustainable efforts.

Here is what I would do to if that were my goal:

  • get walking – aim for 8-10,000 steps per day
  • focus on protein – eating approximately 1 gram per pound of goal body weight
  • prioritize whole, minimally processed foods
  • drink approximately 50% of my body weight in ounces of water daily
  • track what I am eating
  • strength train two to three days per week lifting heavy, relative to me
  • get a Coach to help me stay on track and stay focused.

I wouldn’t suggest anything to you that I wouldn’t and don’t do myself.

  • I walk nearly 12,000 steps per day most days
  • I eat 150-160g of protein daily
  • Most of the food that I eat is very close to it’s original source (it doesn’t have ingredients, it is the ingredient).
  • I drink 100+ ounces of water daily
  • I track throughout the week
  • I lift weights 3-4 times per week, sometimes 5 if I have the time (I might be able to do that this week!)
  • I do work with a Coach – I’ve been with him since 2019

Even if you pick 1-2 of those strategies and work on really honing it in over the next 66 days, you will be so much further ahead than those who choose to do nothing till January 1st.

The choice is yours.

You have the power of choice – choose well.

Happy Monday!

Make it a great day : )
