What if you gave yourself longer than 30 days
to make a change?
Let’s just cut to the chase…having a long-term focus will get you further faster than focusing on the short-term.
This is approximately 18 months of progress for one of our clients.
- She is down 37.4 lbs.
- She is tremendously stronger.
- She is out enjoying more and more with her fitness.
- Enjoys some meals out from time to time with her husband and family.
- Even enjoys a wine slushy at Honey Hole Winery from time-to-time ; )
How did she do it?
- Strength trains with us 3 days per week.
- Completed our Nutrition Kickstart program last Summer which provided her with the foundation for better eating habits.
- Patience through the process.
Why the short-term focus generally doesn’t work:
- Developing habits takes time.
- Going from zero to 100 doesn’t often work – it often leads someone to being overwhelmed and giving up…now they are back where they started or minimal progress is made.
- It leaves little wriggle room for flexibility and enjoying some things spontaneously.
- Tactics used in the short-term are generally not sustainable.
*Focus on strategies that will help you lose those 10+ pounds forever,
not what will lose you 10 pounds in the next month.
It’s a more enjoyable process : )
