Client Lowering Average Blood Glucose!

I left my career in healthcare because I wanted to help people truly be healthy. I’ve seen it firsthand…the hospital and the doctor’s office is not going to do it.

Much of the services and care they provide is focused on keeping you a repeat customer.

I just knew there had to be a better way.

I know lifestyle change–nutrition and exercise–can make a world of a difference.

It’s the main focus of the people I work with in my gym.

It’s also the main focus of a Corporate Wellness program I am involved with where the main mission is to help people achieve a healthier body weight and improved blood glucose control.

In less than a month, the first six people to start have lost a collective 10+ pounds.

I also received a message from one of the clients in the program that is working with me remotely (he lives out-of-state) the end of last week: “weight is coming off. Glucose is going down. Started at 6.2 (estimated A1C) now down to 6.0. Very happy. The high protein diet with the weight resistance is working surprisingly quickly. Thought would take a few months rather than a few weeks. Need to keep it up.”

Getting that message made my day! I love helping people lift and have fun in the gym. However, it’s seeing people make changes for the better in their health that gets me just as much, if not more, excited.

How are they doing it?!

  • They are focusing on simple things executed consistently.
  • We started at about 45-50% of their long-term goals and have started the process of gradually increasing their daily goals (helps make the process of change easier).
  • Focusing on increasing protein consumption.
  • Focusing on daily movement (walking).
  • Focusing on hydration.
  • Focusing on fruit and vegetable intake.
  • Strength training up to three days per week with the programs personalized to them.
  • Collaboration with a coach to keep them on track.

No gimmicks.

No supplement requirements.

No boot camp programs.

Nothing crazy.

Just drilling down on the basics and focusing on what matters.

It’s what we do in our in-person and remote fitness and nutrition coaching programs.

It’s what we are doing in our upcoming Fall Healthy Habits Challenge.

Don’t miss the forest for the trees ; )

Make it a great day and a wonderful week!
