Do Less Before You Do More

less is more

Happy Wednesday!

We’re halfway there.

I met with someone yesterday for their free consultation.

We were discussing how many days they wanted to schedule to come workout.

I told him, the sweet spot for our clients is 2-3 days per week. We have a few who do four (4) and even a few who do one (1), but mostly, people do 2-3.

He had mentioned coming more often.

Presently, he hasn’t been working out. I told him two was a great place to start considering his starting point and his goals.

Here’s how I summarized it for him: I’d rather you do less to start, then add more later, than start out with way too much and end up having to dial it back.

Maybe that makes me a “bad salesperson” as I could be earning more money for the business by selling more. However, I’m more about doing what’s right for the person to help them build consistency which will ultimately lead to their long-term success. (Maybe that makes me a good salesperson. I don’t know…sales is typically my least favorite thing to do, but I also can’t help people without the sales process. So, I gotta do what I gotta do).

Similar to how we then program for someone’s workouts–we’re not going to have you do more of something in a workout than is unnecessary to achieve your goals.

We focus on doing what matters and more often than not, less is more. Or, I should say, less done better is better.

In alignment with what I said yesterday…”start small, start with something.”

Two days a week is a great place to start.

You can do it.

I believe in you.

Sincerely,

Coach Candice
