Tuesday Tip: Start Small. Start Somewhere.

My Tuesday Tip for you today: Start small. Start somewhere.

Just start.

Your all or nothing attitude is holding you back.

You think you need to workout 5 days a week to get results, but you don’t quite have time for that…so you don’t start.

You think because you had an “off plan” breakfast, you may as well call it a day with making better food choices and the rest of the day becomes a trash roller coaster.

You think that since you missed Monday, you may as well wait until next week.

This flawed thinking is what’s holding you back.

News flash: vast majority of our clients workout with us 2-3 days per week and achieve great results. If you have time for more…wonderful. Not a whole heck of a lot of people do. Having a plan and a coach helps you maximize the time that you do have.

The day where you had a rough breakfast and maybe didn’t eat so ideal, but you decide to eat better the rest of the day, might end up just being a 2000 calorie day. On the other hand, the day where you say “breakfast was already terrible, I’ll just start tomorrow” and you continue to eat atrocious the rest of the day, might end up being a 3000 calorie day. Kicking it into gear at 10am might save you 1000 calories.

You can also apply similar logic to starting on a Tuesday. Maybe you get in 2 workouts that week instead of none. Maybe you eat better that week and lose a pound versus waiting until next week and maybe gaining a pound. (I’d even venture to say that Tuesdays can typically be a lighter gym day because so many people like to workout Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays…that if you are looking for a quieter day to start…Tuesday is a great choice!).

My encouragement for you: start small and start with something today.

Go for a walk.

Drink more water.

Eat a serving or two of fruits or vegetables.

You can do it.

I believe in you.

Sincerely,

Coach Candice
